Free Arcade Fun
So, you don't have a pocketful of quarters? Don't worry about it! You will always be playing arcade games as much as you like... because they are absolutely free! You'll never be weighed down by change again.
Arcade games often have very short levels, simple and intuitive control schemes, and rapidly increasing difficulty. These games are meant to have an easy learning curve, in order to preserve their action component. They're fast-paced action games, requiring hand-eye coordination skill to play. To start off, move your mouse over the top grey bar, clicking on "Games" and you'll be taken right
to the Arcade section. To the left you'll see a list of
to play. But if you want to see them all, you need to scroll down until you see a link reading "View All Online Games". Clicking on that, you'll get to the page with all the games, which includes classics like Pacman and Super Flash Mario Bros, combined with new and fun games like Tower Blocks and Marble Lines.
If you take a look to the right side of the screen you'll notice that there are also
Free Downloadable Games Demos. Those appearing there are just a few, but if you click on "View All Downloadable Games" you'll see a great many more! You'll realize they're neatly set apart by categories like "Puzzle", "Hidden Object" and so on. To the left you can also take a look at the Top 5 and check out the Newest Games. And if you thought that those are all the games available, think again! Below each category you can see a link with the text "View All" that when clicked on, will take you to a humongous amount of game demos that are free to try. Scroll down and you'll see there are many pages of games, so you can never say there is no variety!
Another cool thing is that you can
see who else is in the arcade, chat with them while you play, post comments about the game and challenge others to beat your high score! Just go to the game and hit
the "Create a Challenge" button.
Then choose how much you want to wager, who you want to challenge,
how long will it last and what type of challenge it'll be. You can also accept a high score challenge from the menu to the right (on the main arcade page), or see list of all challenges by clicking on the "View All Challenges" link or the "
Game Challenges" submenu that's on the top part of the screen. There you can choose to filter them by game (all or a specific one), type of challenge (Classic or Sudden Death), the challengers (Site Wide, Friends only and Head to Head) and whether you have accepted them or not. There's also a link to see the completed challenges once time has run out and they have finished. You can sort them the above mentioned options and in addition by End Date, Prize Amount and Game Name.
